If you want to hire Jake, then you are going to need to START HERE:

GMAIL puts a limit on How Many Email accounts you have, so Jake will need you to create a New Gmail Account if you plan to use him:

  New Email account with GMAIL. Cost is FREE. Go to Gmail.com and CREATE NEW EMAIL. This is ONLY needed if you choose Option #2.  He will need this because there is CONTINUAL Email verifications for him to login and he needs access to retrieve verifications codes.  This is the FIRST thing you should do IF you want to hire Jake.  If you plan to do yourself, You don't need to get NEW Email account (skip this step) and can use your regular email.

 

IF you are hiring Jake, You can SET UP the below Accounts OR you can give him your credit card number and he will set it up.  If you want to SET UP the accounts first, then YOU MUST SET THEM UP with your NEW GMAIL ACCOUNT!  Jake will need the Gmail and Password that you use AND will need all the Login and Password information for the Following Sites as well.  

 

      1.  Hosting site that supports New Domain Name with storage, sub-domains, email addresses,             SSL certificate, and C-Panel.  COST is $59.40 for the year.  Go to  https://hostgator.mikedorfler.com  You want the HATCHLING PLAN that says $3.75 per month             but that is for 3 years.  For 1 year, it is $59.40 and comes out to $4.95 per month.  You               also want to select your Domain Name when you sign up.  Many use there name like i own                 mikedorfler.com  but i also bought 3bestsidehustles.com  

 

     2.  AutoResponder with Landing Pages, domain attach ability to landing pages, ability to accept        mike's share codes, etc.  Cost is $15 per month.  You want the LITE PLAN when you sign up.          Go to:  https://aweber.mikedorfler.com 

 

     3.  Web Pages with hosting.  Cost is FREE.  Go to:  https://system.mikedorfler.com 

FAQ'S

  1.   How much time and how hard would this be to do on my own?  Each Step is fairly simple with what I have laid out.  However, you are dealing with Setting Up Domain Names,  Creating Sub-domains, Adding Domain C-Name/TXT/A records for Domain Authentication setup and for assigning domain to webpage,  Setting Up Re-directs, waiting for propagating time, using customer support if need, using share codes, and working between 3 systems to connect all pieces.  Time frame guess would be from 2 hours to 6 hours depending on your computer apprehension.   
  2. What is the cost to hire Jake?  He will build it all for you, change out to your pictures, links, etc.  You can Zelle or Cash App him the $100.  Also, included in the $100 is a ONE TIME of any changes needed within 72 hours of completion.  After that, his cost will be $25 minimum and charged $25 per 15 minute intervals.   Jake will not start until he has 2 things:  1.  Your Sheet of Information he needs 2.  Your payment of $100 received.  
  3. Do I have to use the Systems that you use?  You can do anything you want if you are not hiring Jake.  Feel free to use these videos to help you make whatever you want in any system that you want.  However, If you hire Jake then you must use these systems cause these are the ones I have built this on.   
  4. How long will it take for Jake to Complete?  Jake will for 4-5 business days.  Could be sooner, but at least 2 steps require a 24-48 hour propagation time for them go in effect and that is out of his control.  
  5. Mike, why did you set this all up?  I know how powerful of a tool this could be in marketing.  I have built tools before and have had people beg me to build it for them and that is not the business i choose to be in.  If you build this yourself using my videos, you will appreciate the time it took for me to create this, create the training for this and create the training setup.  Therefore, i put this together so that you can get it done one way or the other.  
  6. Step by Step Guide to Building the Virtual Biz Card

(DO-IT-YOURSELF VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS)

STEP 1: Let's Look at what the Card is so that you can understand the final goal.  

         Select "HATCHLING PLAN" then Select Your New Domain Name and Purchase.  Then we will setup New Email Address, Email forwarder and run the SSL certificate.  Sometimes running the SSL certificate, you get an error.  If you do, you simply want to SETUP "Security Pin" in your Hostgator Profile then reach out to Hostgator on their CHAT (avail 24 hours a day) and ask them to "help you get your SSL on a new Domain just purchased".  They will do it!

STEP 3:  Follow Up to ensure SSL is on our New Domain

Hostgator Customer service said try it in 24 hours.  When we came back, they had not only fixed it, but they also RAN the SSL and we were all green meaning that the New Domain now is:  "https".  If it is still RED, then check the boxes and run the Auto SSL.  If still issue, go back to the CHAT FEATURE and chat with customer service 24 hours a day.  They will run it for you!

STEP 11:  Fix Hostgator (remove temporary domain)

  1.  Check to see if you have a Temporary Domain, you will have to get it removed.
  2.  If you did need to get removed, check to see if you have duplicate C-NAME records.  If so, you will have to delete the duplicates.
  3.  Also, you will have to enter in the domain authentication records (dkim and dmarc). 

 

STEP 12:  FINAL TOUCHES AND COMPLETE!!

  1.  Connect Landing Page to Domain.
  2.  Create sub-domains & QR-Codes.
  3.  Final touches
  4.  Any Additional Possible Challenges:  Reach out to Hostgator to see if they will do a DNS Reset if your site still isn't propagating all the time (wait like 24 hours).
  5. Subdomains - Found out that we have to ADD a Subdomain JUST like we have to set up the Domain name to connect to a page.  So, if you want to get the subdomains to work, you FIRST need to REMOVE the subdomain from Hostgator.  Then need to Go to Aweber -> My Account->Domains and Addresses->Add Domain and enter subdomain.  It will then give you 1 NEW CNAME record to add to your main domain name (like randybutler.info) in Hostgator.  Once they propagate in Aweber then you go to "EDIT" the Landing Page that you want to attach it to then SETTINGS TAB then select "CUSTOM DOMAIN" and Set as homepage.
